[h1] Project Vehicon

<Starscream Logbook>

Log 1.0.1

First day at the lab with Shockwave. The Decepticon ‘Army’ is brand new and still undisciplined but Megatron and Soundwave are working hard to drill military basics into the ranks. Between my mandatory exercises for ‘cohesion’ within the air force, I join Shockwave to accomplish a strange goal he is single minded focused on: creating an army of disposable mechs.

Note: Shockwave’s zeal on this project is alarming.

<Starscream Logbook>

Log. 1.1.6

Project Vehicon is still unsuccessful, Shockwave has tried to animate empty frames with fragments of his spark with no results. The smaller his spark shrinks, the less emotions he express. Gone is the fiery mech that stomped his feet when he was angry. Now it’s all ‘logical this’ and ‘logical that’.

The laboratory’s lights were few and far between, lending the place an eerie air that unnerved Starscream. Despite many complaints, there just wasn’t enough power to have the lighting fully on. Megatron told them to come up with their own source if they wanted more. Begrudgingly, the science team had divided to conquer the many tasks that were required to win the arms race with the Autobots.

Starscream was working on an energon synthesizing refinery, trying to process better quantities with unpure materials. The smaller portion of the army that used to ne cog-less were put to use when it came to mining, the mighty Megatron himself going down to help with a few shifts. Rare defectors from the Autobot’s camp told tale of energon flowing in the streets of Iacon and drinking to their fill. It only fuelled Starscream to work harder on his invention.

Their new living quarters were less than ideal, buried deep within the core of Cybertron, Kaon was dark, creepy and it’s typography changed without warning. Navigating it was as easy as crawling out of the Pit, but few enjoyed it less than the flight frames. Starscream yearned for the tall windows of his old laboratory, where light was abundant, the room warm and his team competent.

The only other mech the Air Commander trusted was Shockwave. His emotions were gone, but his help was always bringing a fresh perspective. The raid had been scheduled, then pushed and eventually cancelled. Shockwave had grown tired and had moved on.

Starscream still hoped he could pull it off.

His motto was one frame at the time. His work on fuel processing had given him a special dispensation to work a little bit more in the lab taking him away from the battlefield more and more the feeling of claustrophobia ensnaring him the longer he stayed inside the base so he turned his focus on his project regularly asking Megatron if he could authorize a raid to the well of spark

he was refused often and had to find another way to bring his project to life thankfully his best as an energon seeker had given him an advantage into knowing how to deal with the stuff. Compounding with this chemical background this was a task it was more than up to. the vain part of him also believed how glorious he would be if he could be the savior of the Decepticon movement by creating a fuel that would sustain them all.

error he stumbled into a formula that gave him grey energon. when he first tested the chemical it read as if it would work as fuel for a cybertronian. when he gave it to the robot that usually tested the consumption of his fuel nothing happened He redid all the testing reread all the readings and ensured that he was not wrong in his formula. Everything aligned it should work.

It drove him mad for cycles he was obsessed into figuring out why the fuel did not work despite having the appropriate chemical composite to be processed by a Cybertronian frame He even ingested the fuel himself nearly choking as the disgusting fuel polluted his fuel lines having to do an emergency purge to get rid of the tainted energon in his system.

then a raid went horribly wrong and the casualties were so high that the overflow of patients from the Med Bay were routed to the lab. exhausted and running on fuel starscream was doing some basic triage and ensuring easy repair were made with the basic knowledge he had in medical field. He was so out of it that I didn't notice that he had grabbed a pack of his great energy on instead of a mid grade energy and plugged it into a Mac that just passed away Frame graying as he was hooking it up in his line.

And then something he had never seen before happened

The frame slowly regain its colour despite the spark that keep fading. All the monitors were frantically trying to let him know that the spark was dying out but his frame was looking as if it was getting healthier. that immediately caught his attention.

He sent a quick come to Hook letting him know that he would not be doing any further medical assistance has he needed a few hurt make in a few corpses for his project

Whatever creepy glitch

ever the scientist star screams set out the 8. control group and a test group. first he tried it on micks that were about to die. Their spark were fading but as the first time their frame was getting healthier. Coming back to his first corpse Starscream unplugged the IV and went back to the frame that just had died He left the IV in one and took the IV out of the other one.

then move on to parts,

An arm here a leg there he was taking parts of the activated mic randomly bringing them back to his little spot and starting another round of 4.'s Then he went back to inspect the first mech. out bill he started to undo armor digging so he could expose the guts. To his surprise the play that he was removing was healthy the inside were all looking fine too. Everything had heal The readings seemed to say that the frame was alive.

except there was no spark

then he expended on his experiments .His special blend seemed to revitalize parts that had been fished from deactivated mechs, breathing new life into them. Starscream had seen so many grey frames by now it left him unfazed.

His obsession in this project even caste a shadow in his Trine’s relationship. The neglect of the two partner stung and After too many disappointment they shut him away from the bond. Starscream only threw himself harder in his science work, passing on the Air Commander title to Airachnid, too obsessed with his goal to care about the title.

He was playing with life itself, like Primus and the Quintessons before him.

Persistence in asking for the raid on the allspark paid off and he was authorized to be part of the operation to procure as many sparks as he could for the project.

Will Primus allow the creation to be?
